Prayerfully reading and reflecting on the Word of God in Sacred Scripture is an important aspect of the mature Catholic Christian life. To some, fostering this practice of reading the Bible can seem a daunting and overwhelming task. Bible studies are one way in which we can grow in our understanding of Sacred Scripture within the context of community.
Adult Bible Study Groups
St. Monica has two general Adult Bible Study Groups which meet weekly to study the Word of God in Scripture, every Fall through Spring. One group meets on Tuesday evenings and the other meets on Wednesday mornings.
Fall 2026 Bible Studies!
This Fall, our Adult Bible Study groups will be learning about the Messengers of God’s Mercy through Ascension’s 10-week course on The Prophets.
The Evening Bible Study group will be meeting on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM in the Family Center. They will begin on Tuesday, September 29.
The Morning Bible Study group will be meeting on Wednesdays at 9:00 AM (after morning Mass) in the Family Center. They will begin on Wednesday, September 30.
If you would like to participate in this study, please register by September 22 (which will enable us to acquire workbooks for participants by the first meeting).

Walking With Purpose Women's Bible Study Group
